Currently focusing on the platformization of SaaS stewardship products for B2C and B2B markets.
(This was a giant leap for me and I'm glad I took a chance! Now, I help others who look forward to seeing their ideas grow.)
August 2021 - May 2024
Product Manager, Indeed
As a Product Manager at Indeed, I was responsible for leading a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and operation analysts/techs to improve processes and products for SMB and enterprise platforms. I used data and experimentation to drive improvements in software infrastructure, and led the development and launch of various in-house products, enhancing user experiences and reducing costs.
(Working here ignited my curiosity more than I could have imagined; brilliant people and tons of opportunities to develop)
December 2019 - January 2021
Project Controls Engineer, ExxonMobil
As a Project Controls Engineer at ExxonMobil, I stewarded project budgets on a $2B+ petrochemical expansion, supporting cost and schedule targets by visualizing data, communicating trends, and highlighting overrun scenarios and reconciliation deviances. I was afforded the opportunity to oversee construction in one of the largest module fabrication yards in Thailand, and responsible for strengthening relationships with global contractors by identifying and removing communication barriers, leading to improved engineering support between local and overseas teams. In this role,

(Some of the best professional leadership was on this team, and I was able to explore the beautiful city of Pattaya, Thailand.
Summer 2016 & 2017
Cost Engineer, ExxonMobil
As a Cost Engineer at ExxonMobil, my role involved identifying cost-saving opportunities before finalizing project budgets, which led to approximately $500K in savings and allowed business leaders to allocate additional funds to other projects. I estimated over $900M worth of scope by leveraging Excel and PowerBI to produce iterative estimates with minimal re-work, enabling senior leadership to understand cost and productivity drivers within the project.

(A team full of new hires! I was able to contribute to one of the largest petrochemical expansions while also studying for my PE exam, no 'regerts' here whatsoever.)
Summer 2016 & 2017
Cost & Market Analysis Intern, ExxonMobil
During my first internship as a Market Analysis Intern, I honed my data analytics skills and developed a tool for forecasting material and labor costs of future projects. I was also responsible for articulating the importance of this tool to various audiences within the company and showcasing its value for strategic planning.

During my role as a cost engineering intern, I developed a system that enhanced efficiency in routine cost reconciliation tasks for my peers and co-workers. I communicated key factors driving cost deviations and organized monthly training sessions, educating your colleagues on the tool capabilities and user interfacing flows.

(These internships introduced me to some of the best facets of oil and gas, I learned so much and made some lifelong friends during these summers.)
Student, Mentor, Researcher, Tutor, Graduate
During my academic carrier I studied diligently in the fields of Physics and Civil Engineering. I participated in outreach and research programs where I created engaging lesson plans to teach children engineering and physics concepts based on simple toy models, employed scientific principles and analyzed computational data in undergraduate research. I worked part time as a tutor, assisting students with math and physics problems, leading review sessions, facilitating a better understanding of complex concepts, and promoting academic success.
In the end, I graduated with honors, obtaining Bachelor degrees in Physics and Civil Engineering from Xavier University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University, respectively.

(I had some pretty amazing mentors and professors. I learned how to learn better, to fail quickly, and to excel even faster.)

A Web Dev Journey
My motivation to enhance my dev skills grew from several clients' need to establish company websites for a reasonable cost. From there, a mixture of curiosity and ambition led me down a self-learning rabbit hole. And you know what? I'm enjoying every bit of it! Here's to learning, growing, and coding!
